The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grade 6 teacher who engages and inspires learners through their own passion and professional practice. An ideal candidate will have significant Upper Primary/Lower Secondary experience, with a specialism for English and Humanities/Social studies. They will be flexible and excited to cooperate with a team of dynamic, professional teachers to plan, deliver, and assess student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. A teacher at ZIS will hold high expectations for students, have a mentor mindset, and will be comfortable differentiating content and instruction in all courses.

Requirements: Applicants should have at least 5 years experience in teaching this age range, preferably at an international school. For non-Swiss/EU applicants, extensive international experience is required. 

• Learner-centered focus, with the ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs
• Teaching license including specialism, Masters level study preferred
• Documented record of excellence in teaching
• Experience with interdisciplinary teaching
