Description

The most significant impact on student learning is the quality of the teaching they experience - great teachers develop great learners. We are looking for colleagues with an outstanding record of achievement, who are passionate about not only student learning but also their own.

Our definition of learning commits us to focus on the whole child - where the development of character is equally as important as that of conceptual understanding and skills.

Individualized Learning Provision at ZIS provides support to learners with intensive needs across our Lower, Middle and Upper Schools, with ILP teachers operating as a school wide team. The school is seeking a qualified, experienced and committed teacher to work across both our Lower and Middle School divisions.

The successful candidate will join a team of teachers, assistant teachers and therapists providing individualized support for students with significant learning needs both within grade level subject classes and in a specialized setting. You will need a solution focused mindset, the ability to react quickly in potentially stressful situations and a sense of humor.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the area of Special Educational Needs and/or English as an Additional Language, working with children with a range of learning needs and disabilities across either primary and /or secondary school. Experience of working with children with more significant learning needs and with emotional/ behavioral challenges would be an advantage.

  • Confidence with assistive technologies and using 1:1 devices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals in order to support student inclusion
  • German language skills would be a great advantage
